In addition to being NAPP’s Lightroom Help Desk Specialist, he also writes the “Under the Loupe” column for Photoshop User magazine, and blogs about Lightroom at Lightroomers.com. He is the author of several books and eBooks, including Taking Stock: Make money in microstock creating photos that sell and Nikon D5200: From Snapshots to Great Shots. Rob is based in Newmarket, New Hampshire.

Livre bien illustré, mais vraiment niveau débutant. Si vous savez déjà ce qu’est un temps de pose et une ouverture, passez votre chemin. Autrement, c’est le livre qu’il vous faut. Je n’ai mis que trois étoiles, car ce n’était pas mon cas, et je n’ai rien appris. C’est sans doute ma faute, j’aurais du mieux viser…

This is not an owners manual, but a great instructional manual on how to actually use the myriad features of the D5500 to take photos. Well thought out and presented in a manner that most amateur shutterbugs can understand. Wish I’d have had something like this when I started out in photography 45 years ago!

Very disappointed in this book. I already had purchased the same volume for the 3200 (Nikon D3200: From Snapshots to Great Shots). When I upgraded my camera to the D5500 recently, I placed a pre-order for the new upcoming book for the 5500. It arrived yesterday and it is almost entirely a word for word copy of the 3200 version with only a few minor changes here and there. I expected at least some new information relevant to this camera over the other, even if the cameras are similar. I would never have purchased this edition had I ever dreamed that it would be a virtual copy of the first, substituting the number 5500 for 3200 everywhere it appeared and little else other than a new picture on the cover. What a waste of money! The book itself is good, but who would have thought that they would repackage the original as a new book with a slightly different title. Shame, shame, shame!
